Rebuild Cache
Whenever a structural change to a station is made, by adding or removing a Component or History, we must invoke invokes an action on the NHaystackService called rebuildCache
. By invoking rebuildCache
, it causes the NHaystack Server to traverse through the entire station and rebuild all of its internal data structures, so it can keep track of how everything in the station is interrelated. Its best to just get in the habit of running it any time you change a tag or alter the structure of a station.
This can be executed in either FIN Stack or Niagara. Look below.
Rebuild Cache through FIN

To execute this action through FIN Stack, the user would follow the below steps:

1. Select the App Launcher icon
2. Select the DB Builder tile under System Integrator Apps

3. Expand the Connector Tree
4. Select a Haystack Connector
5. Select the tool gear icon.
This will open up a Tool pop-up window
6. Select the following: NHaystack > Rebuild Cache

7. Once executed,

Open Niagara workbench
Open the Station
Navigate to Config > Services >
NHaystackServiceRight click onNHaystackService
to select "Rebuild Cache"Once executed,
