We have created an AHU Air Balance form that allows the user to either open, close, or release all the vav dampers that the AHU is serving.

1. The user will have to select on the DB Builder application which is under the System Integrator section

2. Once inside, the user has to navigate towards the DB Builder Tree

  • The user will select an AHU that serve vavs (vavs that have refs to the AHU)

3.  Once the user has made a selection, the user will have to use the Tool button Image Removed which is located on the bottom right

4.  The user will be prompted with a pop-up called Tools where the user will have to navigate to the following: Miscellaneous > AHU Air Balance

Info

The required fields to select are:

  • Open All Vav Dampers 100%:
  • **Close All Vav Dampers 0%:
  • Release All Vav Dampers to Auto:

When a field has been selected, the user can hit Apply and the form will then execute the change.

Warning
titleUse with caution

This is very risky because you could close all the VAV boxes that are attached to this AHU, which could cause too much pressure in the duct.

Example:

Opening dampers

In our example, we want to open all the dampers of the vavs that the AHU is serving.

So we select AHU-1 and open the AHU Air Balance tool. Then select to Open all vav dampers to 100%. Below you can kind of see the damper for Vav-01 at 76%.

After we hit apply, you'll get a popup to double check to make sure the AHU is off to not cause too much pressure. Then it'll take us to the folio app to display all the dampers that it changed.

You can also see Vav-01 Damper was commanded to 100% when before it was 76%. The same process goes if you want to close them to 0% or to release them to auto.
