The email block allows the program to send an email when an event is triggered. To use the email functionality it is required that the email extension be activated and SMTP Settings are configured.More details here. That can be done here: Home Settings.

This block should only be used onEvent not on a interval routine. If configured on a normal routine without setting it up properly, it will mass send evens every second.
