FIN Service

On WINDOWS OS

After installing FIN, the user should have a little FIN icon in the bottom right corner next to the clock( in Windows OS) as a symbol of the FIN service.Image Removed

When the service is running, the icon is blue and when the service is stopped, the icon turns red.Image Removed

On MAC OS

After installing FIN, the user should have a FIN icon in the dock and a terminal window running the service.

In order to stop the service, the user must right click on the blue icon and select Stop Service option.

In order to stop the service the user must right click on the terminal icon and hit Quit and do the same on the FIN icon as well.

How to change the heap size

3. In this new window, the user will switch to the Java tab.Image Removed

4. In here to change the heap size, the user will change the Maximum memory pool from the default 512 MB to the desired size.

  • Example: 8192 and hit apply. Best to increase in increments of 512.

  • 32-bit JVM max heap is 4GB if available. If more is needed, you'll need 64-bit JVM

5. After this change, the user needs to stop and start the FIN service, for the change to take effect.
