F200 Device Customer Guide

I've just received an F200 Device for the first time. What's next? 

If this is your first time receiving an F200 device, you will need to do the following:

(1) Request an F200 Management Portal Admin Account

(2) Configure & install your F200 device

(3) License the FIN Stack software running on your F200 Device. 

How do I request an F200 Management Portal Admin Account? 

In order to get an account created in the F200 Management Portal, you must provide the following information to your FIN Distribution Partner: 

  • Company Name:

  • Account Name: 

  • Account Email: 

How do I configure & install an F200 Device? 

There are multiple guides that provide the step by step process involved in configuring an F200 Device. See below:

How does FIN Stack licensing work for F200 Device?

F200 Devices use a unique FIN license known as “FIN Embedded licenses”. Made to be generally more cost-efficient than a standard FIN Server license to accommodate typical embedded device usage, embedded licenses also come with 2 years of included License LCM (Life Cycle Maintenance) and renew in two year intervals.

How do I purchase a license for the FIN Stack software running on an F200 Device? 

In order to license FIN Stack running on an F200 Device, you must request to purchase a FIN Embedded License from your FIN Distribution Partner. If available, be sure to include your Company Name, Host ID & Project Name when requesting or purchasing an embedded license.

How do I install an embedded license onto the FIN Stack software running on an F200 Device? 

Once a license is purchased, there are a few different methods of retrieving/installing the license. 

  • Manual Upload: The standard method for installing a license onto a FIN Stack Server can be found here.

  • Edge2Cloud: Users with access to the Edge2Cloud licensing server can configure and auto-install an embedded license onto their F200 Device’s FIN Stack server by following the steps described in the F200 Installation Guide.

How to factory reset manually?

Remote factory reset

To perform a remote factory reset:

  1. Connect locally to the gateway.

  2. Select Maintenance

  3. Select the action 'Reset to Factory’.

The controller has reset to factory settings.

Direct CFG3.F200 factory reset

To perform a direct factory reset:

  1. Remove power from the CFG3.F200

  2. Press and hold the SVC button. While holding:

  • Apply power to the CFG3.F200. The device will default to a blinking red SVC light for about 5 seconds and then turn off.

  • Continue holding the SVC button.

In approximately 30 seconds, a steady green RUN light will turn on.

  • Release the SVC button

The device will now reboot and enter an unconfigured mode, signified by a red blinking light for about 10 seconds.

  1. Wait until the run RUN light turns on solid (about 20 seconds).

The controller has been factory reset.

  1. Press/double press the SVC button to change the device's IP to 169.254.169.254. Then to access the Gateway, double press the SVC.

The light will become solid red, indicating access that access to the gateway at https://169.254.169.254 has been successfully configured.
