We created a Create Heap Usage Alert tool that users can set up to receive an email notification when the heap space is getting full or near full. This will remind the user that they need to increase their memory heap space. If it is not increased, the system shuts down into read only mode.

Prerequisite: 

• Have finHtmlReporting pod and enabled. Refresh browser after enabling.

• Have html2pdf ext enabled.

• You'll also need to have the Email SMTP settings configured in the Host > Settings . Then make sure a user has a valid email to receive the reports.

How to use Create Heap Usage Alert

The user will go to the FIN Reports app.

Then, once inside the app, the user will select Create Heap Usage Alert.

Once selected, a pop up window will appear.

The following fields are:

• Maximum Heap Usage Percent - Here the user can decide at what percent of heat space used to get notified

• Email Address - They can select who will be receiving the email alert

• Job Frequency - The use can choose how often to check the memory heap space usage

Once those fields are completed, the user will select Create Job button and thats it. A job will be created and run based on frequency selected.
