Sync History
Sync History
The Sync History tool allows the user the ability to specify a custom range of history they would like to sync up to FIN from the devices whether BACnet, Haystack, or any other protocol. This is a one time sync. To have the histories sync at a specified interval, the user can specify that in the Histories Sync settings. The typical use case would be the first time integrating a connector that has points with a lot of history.
Prerequisite: Existing connected points in the database with history setting set to synchronized.
Using Sync History
First the user will navigate to DB Builder via the App Launcher.
Then inside the Connectors tree expand the connector protocol where the points come from and select the connector. In our example we have a Haystack connector we named “Demo”.
The user would then 1) select Added Points button and then 2) select the desired points to sync history from and last 3) select Sync History button.
Once Sync History button has been selected, the user will be prompted with the below popup where they can specify the range of history to sync for the selected points. By default it’ll auto populate the last 7 days.
Select Apply once done and that’s it. The selected points should now have history synced based on the range specified. The user can now check the points history. In our case we selected to sync history from January 1st of the current year 2021.
