Manage Tenants
Prerequisite:Â
You'll need the finHtmlReporting pod and have it enabled. Refresh browser after enabling.
You'll also need to have the Email SMTP settings configured in the Host > Settings . Then make sure a user has a valid email to receive the reports.
You'll also need to enable the html2pdf extension.
How to use Manage Tenants
The user will go to the FIN Reports app.
Then, once inside the app, the user will select Tenant Reporting.
Once selected, they'll find Manage Tenants.
The Manage Tenants option will have a slider menu when selected.
Add new tenant
To add a new tenant, the user would select the Add option in the Manage Tenants slider menu.
Then, they'll get the below pop up where they can pick the user they would like to make as a tenant.
Once a user is selected, a new pop-up will appear with the following fields:
Mailing Address:Â This will be the mailing address of the tenant. It needs to be in the format of "Street Address, City, State Zip". If there is an apt/suite number, it needs to be included the Street Address with no comma.
Billing Area (optional): This is the area associated with the tenant, for example: "West Wing", "Floors 2 - 3". Can be left blank, but the billZone tag must be present, even if it is left blank.
Minimum Billable Time: This will be the minimum amount of time an equip needs to be triggered on to start billing the tenant. Be sure to include the unit of time as min, s, or h.
Rate:Â This will be how much the tenant will be billed per hour. This is automatically assigned as USD but can be changed by editing the user after the tenant properties are applied.
Trigger Point:Â Enter the trigger point id from under the equip that will be used to indicate when the equip is being used. This will then grab the possible values associated with that point to be used as the "on" value for billing.
Round Hours:Â Check this box to enable the rounding of hours or leave unchecked to bill for the exact amount of time.
Flat Rate:Â Check this box to enable flat rate if having multiple units and would like to have a flat rate for all
Other Fees:Â Check this box to enable other recurring fees if needed. The popup for this would appear after the user applies changes to the first popup.
Rent
Parking Fee
Billing Fee
Other Fee
Credit
After inputting all the information AND selecting a trigger point, the user will click "Next/Apply" and a second popup will appear allowing the user to select the appropriate trigger value based on the point type. IF no trigger point is selected and left blank, then the Select Trigger Value pop up will be skipped so that way if all the user needs to do is change the rate and address, they need not go through this step again.
This trigger value will be what the "Tenant Reports" will be looking for when compiling the reports.
In the end, the user hits apply and they can see the changes in the property editor of that user.
Below is an example of all the available properties.
Edit tenant
To edit a tenant, the user would select the Edit option in the Manage Tenants slider menu.
Then, they'll get the below pop up where they can pick an existing tenant to edit.
Once a user is selected, a new pop-up will appear for them to edit.
After the user is done editing, they would apply the new changes or cancel.
