FIN 5.1.3

Overview

[Release date: January 5, 2023 - v5.1.3.68]

The FIN 5.1.3 release is considered a 'service pack' release. Service Packages typically contain minor bug fixes and feature enhancements.

Note: No migration required from 5.1+. Migration is required from 5.0 to 5.1+.

Notable Fixes & Enhancements

BACnet alarm notifications

We have now improved on the email notifications of BACnet alarms. Any BACnet alarm that meets an alarm subscription filter and referenced on a user will now send an email notification when it changes alarm state.

BACnet Foreign Device entries

The Foreign Device entries are now persisted upon reboot of FIN. It is no longer required to re-enter the entries after a reboot.

History to Collected tool license validation

The History to Collected tool now validates against the point license limit for histories. If the amount of points to trend exceeds the point limit capacity, then an error message is displayed and the process is canceled to prevent license over capacity warnings.

All Fixes & Enhancements

BACnet alarms count are now taken into account across the whole application such as in the Alarm/Override Status Indicator model, Navigation Tree, Alarms app, and Override/Alarms report.

Email notifications of BACnet alarms that meet alarm subscription filters now get resent after every subsequent alarm trigger not just the initial trigger.

Updated our Host API Docs to support defs in the background, which are used to bind a symbolic name to a formal definition.

The Alarm Config app now queries based on context when loading the points.

The Dashboard app now supports string interpolation, which means dashboard changes will now be saved when a $ character exists in any of the widgets.

BACnetExt defs now populate in the Host API Docs.

BACnet Foreign Device entries are now persisted after a reboot of FIN.

Dashboard app now handles null values properly and still displays the dashboard views.

The KNX connector can now discover points while the status of the connector is not "open". This allows the user to continue working offline.

Improved BACnet point discovery window when dragging and dropping into the database.

The History to Collected tool now validates against the point license limit for histories. If the amount of points to trend exceeds the point limit capacity, then an error message is displayed and the process is canceled to prevent license over capacity warnings.

The Host Settings tab now re-injects "smtp://" (if removed) in the Email Server URI field when saving changes as that is required.

FIN schedule writes to BACnet schedule objects with priorityArrayIndex now work.

FIN schedule writes to BACnet schedule objects without a list of object references now work.

BACnet alarm card status are now the same in the Alarms app tile and list views.
