Tag Bundles Tree
The Tag Bundles tree allows you to create and save frequently used tag executions. The tab bundles allow you to assign tags and properties to many records at one time.
To View Tag Bundle Results
To view results of tag bundles:
- Select the Tag Bundles drop-down menu in the Available Trees menu.
- Select a tag bundle.
The points under the tag bundle are displayed in the grid view.
Add Tag Bundles
To add a tag bundle:
FIN Stack is context-sensitive. Before adding a Tag Bundle, navigate to the location where the Tag Bundle is to be located.
- Select the Tag Bundles drop-down menu in the Available Trees menu.
- Select the Add (+) button in the Available Trees menu.
- Select New Tag Bundle window from the menu.
The New Tag Bundle window displays. - Enter the name and tag information applicable to the new tag bundle:
- Name (required) - this would be a name for the tag bundle
- Description (optional) - this is where the user can specify a description of what this tag bundle is for
- Allow Filter (optional) - this is where the user can specify which records this will run against and apply/remove the tags
- Tags to Add (optional) - this is where the user can specify what tags to apply to said records
- Tags to Remove (optional) - this where the user can specify what tags to remove on said records if any
- Config Type (optional but required if using for a certain type) - this is where the user can specify what type of bundle this would be for. For example Alarm would need to be chosen for it to appear in the Alarm Config app. The latter two are reserved for future development.Â
- Once Alarm is selected, the user will get another option below it to pick the Point Kind (required) - this is where the user will pick for which type of point this bundle is for (this will make the bundle only appear for appropriate type in the Alarm Config app)

- Track Bundle (optional) - this is where the user can specify if they want to track the bundle or not. What this does is adds a tag depending on what was chosen above on Config Type. If Alarm was chosen, it would add an "alarmConfig" tag on the point record and list the name of tag bundle(s) being used by that particular point. If none was selected for Config Type, the tag would be "bundles". If History was selected, it would by historyConfig, and if Schedulable was selected, it would be schedulableConfig. The latter two are reserved for future development.
- Select ADD.
The new Tag Bundle is displayed under the selected bundle type.
Delete Tag Bundles
- Select the Tag Bundles drop-down menu in the Available Trees menu.
- Select a tag bundle.
- Select the Delete (–) button in the Available Trees menu.
AÂ Warning window is displayed. - Select DELETE to confirm deletion of the saved tag bundle.
Edit Tag Bundles
- Select the Tag Bundles drop-down menu in the Available Trees menu.
- Select a tag bundle.
- Select the Edit button in the Grid View tools menu.
The Edit Tag Bundle window is displayed. - Edit the following fields:
• Name of the tag bundle.
• Enter a Description.
• Enter Tags to Add.
• Enter Tags to Remove.
• Enter allowed filters.
(Config Type and Track Bundle are reserved for future development.) - Select SAVE.
The updated tag bundle is displayed under the Tag Bundles tree.
